Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Tito Ortiz are to face off in the main event of Bellator’s first-ever pay-per-view event.

The fight will take place on Saturday, November 2nd and was announced during last night’s Bellator 97 event live on Spike TV, with both Rampage and Tito in the cage.

“Rampage vs. Tito” will be held in southern California’s Long Beach Arena.

“To have two of the biggest names in MMA headline our first PPV is awesome,” Bellator Chairman & CEO Bjorn Rebney said. “Rampage vs. Tito is a fight I’ve wanted to see for years and to have it as our Main Event on our first Pay-Per-View is a spectacular next step in Bellator’s evolution. They’re both re-energized, excited and ready for a war. This will be a great fight.”

“Honestly, I feel like I’ve been re-born.,” Jackson said. “My excitement, energy and aggression, it’s all back and bigger than ever. I feel like a kid again. The Rampage you’ll see Nov. 2nd will be better than any Rampage you’ve ever seen.

“Everybody knows Tito and I have a very long history. He’s a former teammate and friend, and it’s one of the reasons I stayed away from the UFC as long as I did.  But, I want to be very clear; any sort of friendship we once had doesn’t exist when that cage door shuts.

“I’ve got a ton to prove on November 2nd, and unfortunately for Tito he’s the guy I have to make an example of. He’s in my house now and Saturday, November 2nd on PPV, it’s going to be a horrible night for Tito Ortiz.”

“I’m back,” Ortiz stated. “Over the last few years, my passion for MMA was completely killed, dealing with UFC politics and with Dana. I didn’t have that drive to compete, my heart wasn’t in it. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I’m free.

“Bjorn and Bellator put together an opportunity that made me part of the promotion, part of the family.  I feel like I can breathe again and my old friend is going to be on the receiving end of all that happiness turned into an old school Tito Ortiz ground and pound beating.

“I’ve fought and beaten the very best in MMA history and on Nov. 2nd, Rampage will be the next huge win on my record. This is a new era for the People’s Champion.”

Jackson arrived in Bellator in June as a former Pride and UFC champion, having last fought on Spike TV in September 2007, in a fight vs. Dan Henderson that drew nearly 6 million viewers, making it one of the most watched fights in the sport’s history.

In 2009, Jackson served as a coach on Spike’s “The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights,” the highest-rated season by far in franchise history, delivering over 3 million viewers per week. Rampage joins a Bellator Light Heavyweight division that features “King Mo”, Emanuel Newton, Vladimir Matyushenko, Attila Vegh and now, Tito Ortiz.

Ortiz joins Bellator as a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and throughout his career has been one of the most recognizable and polarizing figures during his sixteen year career, fighting the likes of Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell, Vitor Belfort, Rashad Evans and Ken Shamrock. A true MMA icon, Ortiz will now start a new chapter of his career fighting under the Bellator banner beginning on November 2nd.

More information regarding Bellator’s first PPV will be made available in the coming weeks. A press conference with Rampage and Ortiz will take place on Monday, August 5th.

Tito Ortiz injured, out of Bellator pay-per-view fight against 'Rampage' Jackson
By Ariel Helwani  @arielhelwani on Oct 25 2013, 4:22p

Bellator's inaugural pay-per-view has been hit by the injury bug.

Tito Ortiz suffered a neck injury in training which will keep him out of next weekend's fight against Quinton Jackson, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

Bellator is currently seeking a replacement for Ortiz, and it is unclear at this time whether Jackson will remain on the Nov. 2 card. There is a chance next weekend's pay-per-view card turns into a free Spike TV card with Jackson being moved to another event.

MMAFighting.com reached out to both Jackson and Ortiz and their respective camps, but they could not be reached for a comment. Ortiz did send out an ominous tweet Friday morning.

Bellator 106 is currently slated to take place at the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, Calif.

‘Rampage’ Jackson vs. Joey Beltran headlines Bellator 108 on Nov. 15
By MMAjunkie Staff October 30, 2013 4:05 pm ET  @MMAjunkie
With Tito Ortiz (16-11-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) out of their planned Bellator 106 pay-per-view headliner, Quinton Jackson (32-11 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) instead will meet fellow UFC vet Joey Beltran (14-9 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) in Bellator 108′s headliner.
Officials today announced the light-heavyweight matchup.
Bellator 108 takes place Nov. 15 at Ovation Hall at Revel Atlantic City. The main card airs on Spike TV following prelims on Spike TV.
“Rampage” was a centerpiece of this weekend’s promotional push for Saturday’s Bellator 106 event. However, when Ortiz dropped off the card with a fractured neck, Jackson also was pulled from the lineup, and the card shifted to Spike TV.
“I want to thank Joey Beltran for stepping up for the fight so I can get my first Bellator victory out of the way,” Jackson stated. “He’ll have the unfortunate honor of taking the ass-whooping I was going to give Tito. My body is in incredible shape right now. I feel like I did in PRIDE, and Joey Beltran is the right guy to put on an exciting fight and showcase what I’ve been working on.”
Jackson, ranked No. 13 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie.com MMA light-heavyweight rankings, is on a three-fight losing skid, which ultimately resulted in his split with the UFC. The former champion owns wins over the likes of Lyoto MachidaDan HendersonWanderlei Silvaand Chuck Liddell, but he hasn’t picked up a victory in two-and-a-half years.
Beltran also makes his promotional debut after a near-four-year run with the UFC. However, he’s winless in his past three fights, which included a failed drug test, and the former heavyweight is 2-6 over the past three years. However, like Jackson, many of his career wins have come via knockout.
The latest Bellator 108 card now includes:
